Thomas Fox was born in Sunderland on the 4th July 1897. In civilian life he worked as a miner. He joined the Navy on the 1st December 1915, frustratingly on his service papers the ship he served on has been written over and it’s not possible to read it!
In 1901 he was living if Fiffers or Fitters Street, in 1911 he was living at 23 Silver Street. Both in Sunderland.
