Robert William Kendrick was born in Willford, Nottingham in 1894. He joined the Territorial Army in 1911, becoming a member of the 7th Bn Robin Hood Rifles. 
 
He landed on the Western Front on 28th February 1915. He was transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in December 1916 and served as an Air Mechanic.  
 
Kendrick survived the war and passed away in 1972.
