John George McLauglin was born in 1885 in Middlesbrough. In civilian life he worked as a Platers helper.

Landed in Gallipoli on the 16^th of October 1915 with the 8^th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers. He later transferred to the Liverpool Regiment, service number 72786.

Upon discharge his residence was given as 2 Bottomleys Yard Middlesbrough.
