Morton Laham was born in Sedgefield, Durham in 1912.

Enlisted Royal Signals 1931

Transferred to 5 RIDG 1931

India 1932 with 15/19^th Hussars

Transferred to 19/20^th Hussars in India

1937 returned to UK and discharge to the reserves.

1939 recalled

Posted with BEF to France 2^nd Armoured Reconnaissance brigade.

Escaped Dunkirk

1940 promoted to L/Cpl

Discharged in 1945.

Morton passed away in 1993.
